They Are Listening

One day I teasingly and carelessly said to Nola, "Look at that tree. It's losing all it's leaves. It's naked!" She smirked. I laughed. We moved on. I thought.

Nope.

Now every single tree without leaves...is naked. And there are so many. And it's such a big girl word. And she says it all. the. time.

They are listening, people. And soaking in every word.

  1. Hahaha! Glad it's you and not me this time. Jake's they-are-listening moments are because of things I haven't said just once I'm afraid. Like the other day when out of the blue he practically shouted in the parking lot, "I can't believe everybody likes your hair except you."

  2. Also, who took this picture, and how did they do it? Is it just a great camera, or is there a trick there?

  3. No tricks. Just Ry's fancy camera that has a really great "depth of field" I think that's what he says. Makes our candid family photos look like a magazine, doesn't it? So thankful for him.

  5. So true, Sarah. Who could blame her for wanting to repeat it? :)
